Help & answers
Frequently asked questions
Quick, honest answers about Lynbu — who we are, how we work, how we are funded, and how we handle your data.
What is Lynbu?
Lynbu is an independent travel site that explains trip planning, destinations, travel tips and safety, budget travel, packing, and food and culture in plain, friendly language — so anyone can plan a trip and enjoy the world without the overwhelm.
Who writes your guides?
Every guide is written or edited by a named member of our small team of travellers, each with a focus area. You can read their stories on our About page, and see what each has written on their author page.
Is the site free, and how do you make money?
Lynbu is free to read. We are funded by advertising and, occasionally, affiliate links. Ads are served through third-party partners that may include Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager. Advertising is always kept clearly separate from our articles — see our disclosure.
Are your recommendations independent?
Yes. We never accept payment to praise a destination, hotel, tour, or product — there is no pay-for-praise and no pay-for-placement in our editorial content. Affiliate relationships never change our judgement. Our full standards are in our editorial policy.
How current is your travel information?
Travel details — prices, opening hours, visa and entry rules, and safety conditions — change constantly and vary by nationality. Our guides focus on timeless advice, and we always tell you to verify the current specifics with official sources (government advisories, embassies, airlines, and official venue sites) before you travel.
Do you give professional travel, visa, medical, or financial advice?
No. Our content is general information and inspiration, not professional advice tailored to your situation. For visas and entry rules check the official government or embassy; for health and vaccines consult a doctor or travel clinic; for insurance and money decisions consider a qualified professional.
I have a travel emergency — can you help?
We cannot handle individual incidents. In an emergency abroad — illness, theft, a lost passport, or danger — contact local emergency services and your country's nearest embassy or consulate right away. That is faster and safer than relying on any article.
How do you handle my privacy and cookies?
We default to a no-advertising-cookie state until you consent, and you can change your mind any time. The details are in our privacy policy and cookie policy, including how to opt out of personalised ads.
Can I suggest a destination or report an error?
Please do. We love reader questions and take corrections seriously — email us or use the contact page, and we fix mistakes quickly and note substantive corrections on the guide.
Who owns and operates Lynbu?
Lynbu is published by MOODLR DESENVOLVIMENTO DIGITAL LTDA (trading as Moodlr Dev Hub), CNPJ 22.136.919/0001-40, based in EUSEBIO, CE, Brazil — CEP 61775060. You can reach us at hello@lynbu.com.
